About Elyria

Elyria has a population of around 50,000 residents and ranks in the top 5% in the state for racial diversity for a city of that size.  Located about 20 minutes from the shores of Lake Erie and 23 minutes from Hopkins Airport, Elyria is conveniently situated. Companies including Invacare, Rigid Tool, Bendix, and Diamond Products are headquartered in Elyria, providing countless job opportunities for residents. Lorain Community College attracts students from all over the area.

Local Elyria attractions include an Annual Apple festival, Elyria civil war monument, Train Depot, and Stocker Center Art Gallery. Elyria has a wide array of ethnic restaurants ranging from Thai, Chinese, Greek, and more. Shopping can be done at Midway Mall or at several of Elyria’s retail centers in the area.
